Charlaine Harris is the author of several popular mystery series, such as The Southern Vampire Mysteries (adapted into True Blood by HBO), the Harper Connelly Mysteries, and, of course, the Aurora Teagarden crime novels which include 10 thrilling books—and has also been adapted into a series of television films by Hallmark Media!

The Aurora Teagarden series follows the 28-year-old Aurora Teagarden, a small-town librarian who also runs the local “Real Murders Club” comprised of true crime enthusiasts.

Things get topsy-turvy when, instead of just studying and analyzing the famous murders in their town, Aurora and her friends discover dead bodies and get involved in solving the crimes.

If you’re in the mood for a cozy, small-town mystery series that doesn’t shy away from delving into the dark side of human nature, the Aurora Teagarden books are definitely worth your time.

You might also want to catch the Hallmark TV series that stars Candace Cameron Bure in the lead. There’s also a prequel series in the works with Skyler Samuels confirmed to play a young Aurora Teagarden.

In the meantime, our handy guide to the Aurora Teagarden novels has everything you need to dip your toes into this fandom! Here are the Aurora Teagarden books in order!

The first book in the series introduces readers to Aurora Teagarden, who works as a professional librarian at the Lawrenceton Public Library and runs a local true crime club.

If you enjoy light mysteries with copycat murders, you’ll have a fun time with this one.
