While most people are familiar with Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum and her other comedic books, Evanovich also writes thrillers and heist books.
But don’t worry, romance is still a key part to all of her works!
Here’s a deep dive into Evanovich’s other series: the Rose Series, Fox and O’Hare Series, and the Knight & Moon Series.
Rose Series

The Recovery Agent
For fans of the classic film Romancing the Stone, here’s a series for you.
Gabriela Rose’s job is to find lost things. But the stakes are super high since her family is in trouble. Her only hope is to find the Ring of Solomon in the Peruvian jungles.
Unfortunately, she has to somehow work with her ex-husband Rafer Jones and survive a drug lord who also wants the treasure.

The King's Ransom
Now the tables have turned. Gabriela’s ex, Rafer Jones, asks her to help his cousin Harley.
Apparently, Harley was the president of a giant bank and made the decision to invest in some artifacts.
It seemed like a good investment at the time. Now the artifacts have disappeared, and all the paper trails around them are also missing.
Rafer wants Gabriela to find the missing items to help keep Harley from jail.
But nothing is ever easy for Gabriela…especially when there may be a conspiracy underneath it all.
Fox and O'Hare Series

The Heist
Nicolas Fox is a con artist for the love of the game, though the money is nice.
He enjoys being chased by his nemesis/possible love interest, FBI agent Kate O’Hare, who wants nothing more than to see Fox in jail.
When she manages to capture him, Fox escapes, but with a larger mission involved. He’s convinced the FBI that he can help find a banker on the run on a private island.
That means Fox and O’Hare have to work together, along with a team of questionable experts, including O’Hare’s father, to bring the rogue banker to justice.

The Chase
Fox is used to doing the chasing, but now he’s chasing after the former White House Chief of Staff, Carter Grove, across the world.
Fox and O’Hare are trying to get back a Chinese artifact of a rooster that was in the Smithsonian.
The problem is that Grove now runs a private security agency called BlackRhino, which hires private mercenaries. And he’s not one to take on lightly.
Can Fox and O’Hare successfully track the precious artifact down and keep their lives?

The Job
Fox is mostly kept on the straight and narrow by O’Hare. So when Fox is accused of stealing some treasures, O’Hare thinks he’s been set up.
That proves useful when they are assigned one of the toughest cases—find Demetrio Violante, a brutal drug lord that no one knows what he looks like. Fox only knows his taste in chocolates.
Their quest takes them all over the world, including Tennessee, Portugal, Turkey and England.
As the stakes get higher, they have to bring in their team again to take down Violante before it’s too late.

The Scam
Fox is still on the run, officially, but he’s still working with the FBI on high—and seemingly impossible—stakes cases.
This time, Fox and O’Hare are targeting casino mogul Evan Trace, who not only uses his casinos for profit, but also money laundering for the world’s worst people.
Fox and O’Hare take on personas of high rolling gamblers to take down Trace and his network.

The Pursuit
O’Hare is used to having to get Fox out of trouble, but this time, he’s managed to get himself kidnapped.
Now she’s got to steal him back and survive an encounter with Dragan Kovic, an ex-Serbian military officer who is now out for blood and cash.
Fox and O’Hare have to figure out how to stop Kovic from destroying an entire U.S. city, which means bringing in their usual team of suspects to make it happen.

The Big Kahuna
This time, the con-man and FBI agent have to go undercover as a married couple.
The mission is to find a Silicon Valley billionaire, known as the Big Kahuna, who has disappeared. And no one seems to care about the man, except for his money.
Their only lead is the man’s son who is living the stoner life in Hawaii.
So pretending to be a couple may be the only way to find out what happened to the man…but it may not be pretend.

The Bounty
Fox and O’Hare have their biggest mission yet: prevent the shady organization the Brotherhood from finding a train filled with Nazi Gold.
The Brotherhood came from Vatican Bank priests who worked with Hitler in WWII. The organization cannot get the gold, or the repercussions will be tremendous.
That means enlisting Fox’s father, Quentin, as well as O’Hare’s father, Jake, to get to the gold before the Brotherhood can.
But will the uneasy alliance between the four people get their acts together to stop the organization, or will they end up killing each other?
There’s also several O’Hare and Fox short stories if you can’t get enough of the master con-man and straight shooting FBI agent.
Knight and Moon Series

Curious Minds
Riley Moon was not supposed to be a babysitter. She graduated both Harvard Business and Harvard Law, and wanted nothing more than to be a junior analyst.
But then she gets her first assignment, keeping an eye on Emerson Knight, a wealthy client who somehow lacks any social skills; Moon can’t decide if she wants to kill him, or something else.
Instead of working at a desk, she finds herself on a wild goose chase to find some of Knight’s missing gold.
She certainly didn’t expect that working at a bank would be so dangerous, either.

Dangerous Minds
How do you find a missing island? That’s what Emerson Knight wants to do for a Buddhist monk named Wayan Bagus.
This island was there one day and then gone the next.
Knight brings in his cousin, Vernon, as well as Riley, who cannot figure out how she keeps getting drawn into Knight’s life, especially after the chaos he’d caused in hers.
The trio find themselves inside a conspiracy of government-wide proportions. Will they find this lost island, or will they lose their lives?
