Whether you’re experiencing unprecedented heat waves or colder and wetter weather than usual, this Spring promises to be anything but normal. 

At least there are plenty of new shows to keep us entertained. From incompetent siblings to retirees facing an unthinkable nemesis, here are twelve new mystery and thriller shows coming this Spring.

Marshals 

March 1st, CBS

If you can’t get enough of the Western drama paired with the police procedural of Yellowstone, we’ve got good news. 

Struggling with his grief, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) leaves Yellowstone Ranch to join the U.S. Marshals, where he hopes his skills as a Navy SEAL and a cowboy can bring justice to the state of Montana. 

But as he pursues the cases he’s assigned, he has to face the psychological toll protecting his beloved state brings.

Masterpiece: The Count of Monte Cristo

March 1st, PBS

When sailor Edmond Dantès (Sam Claflin) is falsely accused of treason, he is imprisoned without trial in an impenetrable island fortress. 

It takes years, but he finally manages to escape, and with his freedom comes the plan to exact revenge on all who falsely accused him.

RJ Decker

March 3rd, ABC

Disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con R.J. Decker (Scott Speedman) is looking to start over. He becomes a private investigator, diving deep into the wild crime scene of Florida. 

But when the mysterious new benefactor turns out to be a woman from his past, she’s either going to help him succeed or make sure he lands back in prison. And he needs to figure out which one before it’s too late.

Young Sherlock 

March 4th, Prime Video

Before Sherlock Holmes (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) was the brilliant detective, he was a nineteen-year-old student at Oxford University. 

When a murder on campus threatens his freedom, he takes on his first case. One that leads him into a global conspiracy, setting him on a trajectory that will change his life forever.

Scarpetta

March 11th, Prime Video

Based on the series by Patricia Cornwell, Nicole Kidman stars as Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a forensic pathologist facing her toughest case yet. 

Her career-making case from twenty-eight years earlier is in question. To prove she was right, she has to unmask a serial killer.

Sunny Nights

March 11th, Hulu

When overly co-dependent siblings (Will Forte and D’Arcy Carden) move from Indiana to Australia, they’re just hoping to grow their self-tan business. 

But they quickly find themselves tangled in Sydney’s criminal underworld. 

Now, they have to not only figure out how to keep their business out of bankruptcy, but how to keep themselves out of prison while they’re at it.

Imperfect Women

March 18th, Apple TV

Mary (Elisabeth Moss), Eleanor (Kerry Washington), and Nancy Mara (Kate Mara) have been best friends for decades. Nothing can tear them apart. Or so they think. 

But when a shocking murder shatters their lives, the women have to face devastating betrayals as investigators dig into their past to uncover the truth.

Detective Hole

March 26th, Netflix

Tobias Santelmann brings to life the troubled detective from Jo Nesbø’s eponymous series. 

While hunting a serial killer, Harry Hole also struggles with a corrupt adversary, forcing him into questionable ethical territory. 

But all that matters to Harry is justice. One way or another.

Big Mistakes

April 9th, Netflix

Dan Levy stars as Nicky, an openly gay pastor who, along with his sister Morgan (Taylor Ortega), ends up getting blackmailed into working for gangsters. 

The only problem is that they’re both wildly unorganized and shockingly incapable of committing crimes. 

Nemesis

May 14th, Netflix

Detective Isiah Stiles (Matthew Law) faces cunning criminal mastermind Coltrane Wilder (Y’Lan Noel). 

As Stiles tries to prevent Wilder from committing a heist, the pair end up in a tense cat-and-mouse game in Los Angeles, where winning just might mean destroying everything each man cares about.

May 20th, Netflix

Newly divorced mom Paula (Tatiana Maslany) is convinced she witnessed a crime.

The Boroughs

May 21, Netflix

Who says your Golden Years have to be terrible? The retirement community of the Boroughs is an idyllic paradise. 

But when the residents discover an otherworldly presence intent on stealing what little time they have left, they band together to track it down and stop it.
