In 2019, author Holly Jackson released her debut mystery novel A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. She released two more books in the trilogy in the following years, Good Girl, Bad Blood and As Good As Dead, as well as a prequel novella, Kill Joy.

This young adult novel took TikTok by storm—if you happened to be on the BookTok algorithm, you couldn't scroll past more than three videos without seeing a recommendation for this gripping read.

So it really came as no surprise when A Good Girl's Guide to Murder was adapted into a television series in 2024. And for those who couldn't get enough of the hit series, season two promises to be even better.

What is A Good Girl's Guide to Murder about?

This story follows 17-year-old crime enthusiast Pippa “Pip” Fitz-Amobi. While attending high school in the fictional town of Little Kilton in Buckinghamshire, Pip becomes fascinated with a disturbing murder-suicide that happened five years prior.

A popular student, Andrea “Andie” Bell was brutally slain, supposedly by her boyfriend, Salil “Sal” Singh, who confessed via text. After Sal committed suicide, it seemed the whole case was tied up.

But Pip knew Sal when she was a kid, and she believes he must have been falsely accused. Under the guise of a school project, she intends to crack the case back open and find the real killer.

However, as she discovers dark, hidden secrets, someone  dangerous is determined to keep her from piecing the clues together.

What do we know about season two of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder?

In the second season, which starts May 27th, Pip is trying to stay away from mysteries. Based on the second book in the series, the season is purportedly even “bigger, badder, and better,” addressing the fallout of Pip's previous investigation.

As the trial for the Andie Bell case approaches, a key witness suddenly goes missing. Pip is left with no choice but to race the clock to find him and ensure justice has its day.

Iqbal also returns as Ravi, with several new faces joining the cast. Misia Butler steps in as Stanley Forbes, while Eden H. Davies will portray Jamie Reynolds, Jack Rowan takes on the role of Charlie Green, and Freddie England plays Robin.
