Angelina Jolie has a career built on thrilling movies like Taking Lives, Changeling, and Salt—yet in the past couple of years, her talents have been more focused on animated works (the Kung Fu Panda trilogy), big Disney franchises (Maleficent), and family films (Come Away). But on May 14th, Jolie makes her return to thrillers with the heart-pounding film Those Who Wish Me Dead.

This Warner Bros. adaptation is based on the novel of the same name by Michael Kortya. Alongside Jolie, the film also stars the notable Nicholas Hoult, Aidan Gillen, Jon Bernthal, and Tyler Perry. The screenwriter for this project is source material author Michael Kortya. Taylor Sheridan—known for writing and directing Wind River, as well as creating the TV drama series Yellowstone—is the film's director.
The film follows Hannah Faber, a smoke jumper still grappling with the devastation of failing to save three people from a raging fire. When a 12-year-old boy (Finn Little) witnesses a murder, two brutal assassins pursue him through the wilderness of Montana. And as the mountains begin to burn, Hannah may be his only hope of survival.
