What's better than a mystery movie? A mystery movie you can stream for free with an Amazon Prime subscription!

This expansive streaming service has hundreds of incredible flicks to choose from, but we're here to keep you from getting lost in the options.

From comedic thrillers to classic mysteries, here are 10 of the best mystery and thriller movies you can stream now on Amazon Prime Video.

Red Eye

This incredible 2005 thriller was directed by the legendary Wes Craven.

After her grandmother's funeral, Lisa Reisert (Rachel McAdams) hops on a red eye flight back to Miami. Unfortunately, she has more to worry about than turbulence when she meets the seemingly charming Jackson Rippner (Cillian Murphy).

Secretly held hostage on the plane, Lisa is threatened with the murder of her father if she doesn't assist Rippner in a political assassination.

Rear Window

Just one of many incredible Alfred Hitchcock movies available on Amazon Prime Video, including Rope, Psycho, and The Man Who Knew Too Much, this mystery is a classic for a reason.

Temporarily confined to a wheelchair with a broken leg, photographer L.B. “Jeff” Jefferies (James Stewart) entertains himself by peeking through his neighbor's windows. One evening he becomes convinced he's witnessed a murder, but his socialite girlfriend, Lisa Fremont (Grace Kelly) is skeptical.

Determined to unravel the mystery, Jeff and Lisa put themselves in mounting danger.

Out of Sight

Bank robber Jack Foley (George Clooney) hatches a plan to break out of prison, but he doesn't account for running into US Marshal Karen Sisco (Jennifer Lopez).

When Foley kidnaps Sisco during his escape, the pair share a charged moment of attraction. But that spark isn't going to stop Foley from going after a cache of diamonds, and it isn't going to stop Sisco from tracking him down.

Emergency

This highly underrated, darkly comedic social thriller from 2022 is one of my favorites.

Three BIPOC college students—Kunle (Donald Elise Watkins), Sean (RJ Cyler), and Carlos (Sebastian Chacon)—are ready for a night of unmatched partying. But their plans are waylaid when they find an unconscious white girl in their living room.

Concerned with how it would appear if they called the authorities, they set out to discretely drop her off at the hospital. Trouble follows them when the girl's sister, Maddy (Sabrina Carpenter), believes she's been kidnapped by the men.

Chinatown

This bleak neo-noir mystery from 1974 stars Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway. Private detective J.J. “Jake” Gittes (Nicholson) is hired by Evelyn Mulwray to get proof of her husband's infidelity.

After Jake's pictures of the husband's meeting end up in the paper, he finds out that the woman who hired him was a fake, and the real wife (Dunaway) hires him to unravel a twisted web of corruption and murder.

Saltburn

This psychological thriller by Emerald Fennell took the world—or at least social media—by storm. Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan) is an Oxford University student whose unfamiliarity with the ways of the upper class makes him an outcast.

When affluent student Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi) befriends Oliver and invites him to his family's country house for the summer, things take a strange and intense turn.

Sicario

After an impressive raid on a cartel safe house, FBI agent Kate Macer (Emily Blunt) is recruited to a government task force focusing on the war on drugs at the U.S.-Mexican border.

Their mission is to apprehend Sonora Cartel lieutenant Manuel Díaz (Bernardo Saracino), who has been hiding out on American soil.

Unfortunately, the work on this task force is far more violent and disturbing than Macer bargained for.

BlacKkKlansman

This gripping film from 2018 is actually based on true events. In Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) is hired as the force's first Black police officer.

While he's first confined to the records room, he soon makes a splash in the intelligence division when he infiltrates the local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan, with help from Jewish officer Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver).

Panic Room

This 2002 thriller from David Fincher has a concept that remains unique and exciting today. Meg Altman (Jodie Foster) is a recently divorced woman who moves into the Manhattan home which formerly belonged to a reclusive millionaire.

When three criminals (Forest Whitaker, Jared Leto, and Dwight Yoakam) break into the home to search for stashed money, Meg and her 11-year-old diabetic daughter Sarah (Kristen Stewart) must hide in the home's panic room.

Basic Instinct

Nick Curran (Michael Douglas) is a homicide detective with a violent and messy record.

When he's called in to investigate a murder, he believes the main suspect to be crime novelist Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone), as her latest novel parallels the real-life crime. Despite feeling he's being toyed with, Nick strikes up a torrid affair with Catherine.

But things only get more complicated from there…
