Knives Out breathed a whole new life into the mystery film genre when it hit theaters in 2019. Rian Johnson's sharp character work and intricate storytelling built an engaging story that made for a rewatchable film, even after you know the big twist. Putting the charming detective Benoit Blanc back in the fray of a deadly case, Johnson's sequel, Glass Onion, was even better. With a third movie in the franchise expected to premiere on Netflix in 2024, audiences may be pulled into an even more gripping mystery soon.

In the meantime, we have plenty of quirky characters to love—characters that are so delightfully full and human. We all have our favorites, of course, whether it's a brave heroine of the people or a wicked manipulator. But which character are you cosmically connected to? Here's which Knives Out universe character you are based on your zodiac sign.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Helen Brand

Helen Brand (Janelle Monáe) is one gutsy woman. She doesn’t shy away from a challenge, especially when it comes to solving her twin sister’s murder. Her determination quickly turns into impatience, however, when her sister's friends prove to be as phony and disloyal as she always expected they would be. Her passion for finding her sister justice soon becomes impulsive aggression, but she gets results. Before the ordeal on Miles Bron's private island is through, the killer's whole operation goes up in flames…

Aries is a fire sign that is all about courage and headstrong conviction. This sign of the Ram can be short-tempered and moody, but only because they despise inaction. They take on leadership roles with enthusiasm, so be careful to never stand in their way.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Harlan Thrombey

Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is a wealthy patriarch, though he is the most down-to-earth of his family. He carved his own way in the world, and he wants them to do the same. Unfortunately for his kin, he is incredibly stubborn, and what he says goes. And as his nurse, Marta knows just how devastating his uncompromising practicality can be when he decides to stage a suicide when one of her mistakes puts his life and her career in danger.

Taurus is an earth sign represented by the Bull. Complications are this sign's scourge, and you can bet they'll try to trample all over any wrench in their plans. As their horned symbol implies, you won't find a more inflexible sign in the zodiac. However, Tauruses are incredibly devoted and reliable individuals, so long as they feel a person has earned it.

Gemini (May 21-June 21)

Peg

Peg (Jessica Henwick) is the clever assistant of messy model Birdie Jay. She spends most of her time putting out fires (sometimes literally) for her boss, and has proven herself brilliant and jumping into whatever fray she needs to. Of course, the toxic relationship with her employer leaves Peg torn about whether she should stay or go, and Bron's threat to Birdie's, and by association her own, career has her feeling a bit like a cornered animal. She doesn't like being pushed around, but is willing to take the time to weigh her options.

Gemini is an air sign, which means these individuals don't like being confined. No one will decide their path for them, but when it comes to making decisions for themselves, they can be a bit indecisive. On the flip side, with their dual nature, this sign of the Twin can be incredibly adaptable, meaning there are few situations they have trouble navigating.

Cancer (June 22-July 22)

Linda Drysdale

As the oldest of the Thrombey children, Linda Drysdale (Jamie Lee Curtis) has a certain tenacity to her. She shared a special bond with her father—one that was unmatched by any of the other family members. In business and her personal life alike, she has a reputation for being ruthless. Though she likes to consider herself more open-minded than her family members, once her father's fortune is left to an outsider she develops a very strict “family first” inner-circle mindset.

The water sign of Cancer is an emotional one, but don't confuse emotion with softness. The sign of the Crab has a hard shell that aids them in the dogged pursuit of their goals, and any obstacles may bring out their scheming side. They play things close to the chest, but with the right people, they are incredibly loyal individuals. Cancers like to stick to what they're used to, giving them a sense of control and comfort.

Leo (July 23-August 22)

Birdie Jay

Birdie Jay (Kate Hudson) has a big personality. She pursues her creative passions through modeling and fashion design, but not ambitiously enough that she doesn't cut a lot of corners. Her vanity is her driving force, leading her to strike out for attention in any way possible—something that is increasingly difficult with every social media platform she's banned from. Though she's the first to turn on Miles Bron, it's more of a way to save face than in any sense of loyalty.

Leos are represented by the Lion, majestic creatures who know their place is on top. This fire sign can be self-centered in their love of admiration, but their hunger for praise also brings out the best of their creative side. These individuals are always up for a good time and will always provide a good laugh. Just don't expect them to help you move into a new apartment—think more along the lines of lazy lions sunbathing, rather than providing for the pride.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)

Lionel Toussaint

The brains of the Disruptors group, Lionel Toussaint (Leslie Odom Jr.) is a scientist working for Miles Bron's company. He's critical of Miles's methods of doing just about everything, and his sharp mind alerts him to the dangers of Klear as a fuel source. He's more soft-spoken than the others, and far more concerned with the business of things rather than the prospect of a party.

Represented by the sign of the Maiden, Virgo is an earth sign. These individuals tend to be hyper-analytical thinkers with an “all work and no play” mindset. They can find fault in anything, but rest assured that they're just as likely to pick themselves apart as they are to turn their criticism on you. Virgos are also known for being shy worrywarts, taking on the world's problems as their own.

Libra (September 23-October 22)

Claire Debella

Claire Debella (Kathryn Hahn) is a governor in the midst of a senatorial campaign. As a politician, she's very conscious of how every statement and decision reflects on her, and does what she can to present the tidiest image. One of the Disruptors who sold out to Miles's influence, she appears to be the one who struggles with it the most, as it conflicts greatly with her goals as a policy maker. While she prefers a smooth ride, there are some things she just won't stand for.

Libra is an air sign represented by the Scales. This sign likes balance, so to keep the peace they wield a diplomatic approach. When harmony is disrupted, their prone to either self-pity or vicious grudges. While they can feel stuck in the middle at times, their cooperative nature does not overlook injustice.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

Ransom Drysdale

The water sign of Scorpio is represented by the Scorpion, and what are scorpions most well-known for if not their stinger? Scorpios are incredibly resourceful, and you can bet they're out to get what they want by any means necessary. If you cross them, they're manipulative at best and violent at worst. These powerful individuals are brave and passionate—just hope for your sake that you have the same values.

Ransom Drysdale (Chris Evans) is one hell of a villain. While he never presents himself as particularly pleasant, he inserts himself in Marta's good graces enough that you never quite expect him to do anything too atrocious. But he set his sights on his grandfather's fortune, and if he wasn't going to get it, he'd make Harlan pay. Of course, this was secondary to framing Marta so he could make off with the inheritance anyway.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)

Miles Bron

Miles Bron (Edward Norton) is a villain in both a much larger and much smaller scale than one might expect. He is far from the mastermind he presents himself to be, building a reputation off of stolen ideas and bravado. He has big ideas for furthering the progress of the world, he just doesn't stop to think about the consequences. He likes to race to the finish line, and if anyone tries to hold him back, he eliminates the obstacle.

Sagittarius is the sign of the Archer. They tend to aim far, but often promise more than they can deliver. These fire signs are incredibly generous and very idealistic, but their impatience can land them in hot water. Freedom is very important to them, and any attempts to constrain them with things like pesky details will get you on their bad side.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19)

Benoit Blanc

Ah, our beloved detective, Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig). He has a certain panache that makes him entirely captivating, but he's formidable because he has the investigative skills to back up his ego. He's a ringmaster in the circus of every case, gently guiding things along until the honest conclusion presents itself. His first responsibility is the truth, though his effortless ability to be right all the time certainly ruffles some feathers.

The earth sign of Capricorn is represented by the Sea Goat. These individuals have incredible discipline and self-control, making them ideal managers for every situation. They're exceedingly bright, but their know-it-all attitude can come off as condescending. Like any other earth sign, Capricorns can be finicky, though they're a bit more eccentric than their elemental sisters.

Aquarius (January 20-February 18)

Duke Cody

Duke Cody (Dave Bautista) is a streamer on Twitch who rose to popularity with a men's rights platform, but he's got aspirations to find a larger audience through Miles Bron. And while his persona isn't exactly one making the world a brighter place, he certainly knows how to find a niche and run with it. When he arrives on the island, he wastes no time diving into the fun, gallivanting around with his girlfriend and firing off a few shots from his pistol for no reason other than showing off. He's a pretty even-keeled guy, and nothing, not even the murder of one of his friends, seems to shake him.

Aquarius is an air sign represented by the Water Bearer. Typical of air signs, these individuals are hard to pin down, and will run the second a situation starts to feel dull. An Aquarius is a person who lives for action and change, though the positivity of their influence can only be determined on a personal basis. They often distance themselves from emotion and live a more independent lifestyle, free of the limitations of others.

Pisces (February 19-March 20)

Marta Cabrera

Marta Cabrera (Ana de Armas) is one of the best characters to ever exist within a mystery. She has an engaging softness to her, one that comes out in the worst of times, causing her to compulsively vomit when she lies. Her warmth and heart is what made Harlan so fiercely loyal to her. Unfortunately all of her good qualities make her an enemy of the Thrombey clan, who aim to destroy her simply to get the inheritance they feel they're owed.

Pisces, the sign of the Fish, is a water sign. These individuals are incredibly wise and intuitive, but they don't wield these strengths over others, preferring to use their talents to compassionate ends. Though Pisces are prone to fear, they still tend to be overly trusting in nature. This sign hates any amount of cruelty, yet their bleeding hearts often put them in the crosshairs of victimhood.
