From January 20th to February 18th, Aquarius season reigns supreme!
This air sign, also known as the sign of the Water Bearer, is known for their big, righteous heart. Aquarians are typically at the progressively frontlines, putting themselves in the line of fire for change.
Despite their hero complex, this sign can be independent to a fault. Shying away from emotional expression, they can come off as detached loners.
But they do still enjoy a good laugh with loved ones, especially if the fun involved is particularly cerebral.
With all those brains and valor, they sure would make great detectives.
From courtroom cases to sick serial killers, here are the best mystery and thriller movies to watch if you're an Aquarius!
The Rainmaker
In this legal thriller, recent law school graduate Rudy Balor (Matt Damon) introduces an insurance bad faith case to his new boss, ambulance chaser Bruiser Stone (Mickey Rourke). When Stone disappears, Rudy, though not yet licensed, must take on the corrupt insurance titan alone.
If there's one thing an Aquarius loves, it's fighting for causes. And due to their highly independent attitude, they'll love Rudy taking a stand on his own.
Naked Lunch
The thing about Aquarians is, they're singular people. They are unique and original through and through.
So of course they'd love an utterly bizarre David Cronenberg film.
Exterminator Bill Lee (Peter Weller) finds himself in a spot of trouble after exposure to insecticide causes him to develop hallucinations. After accidentally killing his own wife, he gets tangled up in a secret government plot devised by giant bugs in North Africa.
Wind River
Wildlife officer Cory Lambert (Jeremy Renner) teams up with rookie FBI agent Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen) to solve the murder of a young Indigenous woman on a Wyoming reservation. Their investigation uncovers harrowing systemic problems for the native people.
Humanitarian efforts are very important to Aquarians, so any film that highlights the struggles of a marginalized community will captivate them.
This sign will also find themselves relating to Cory's aloof nature.
Hot Fuzz
In this oddball buddy cop comedy, exceptional London police sergeant Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is transferred to the sleep rural village of Sandford, Gloucestershire. While the officers here recoil at his strict regulations, the town is overcome by a string of gruesome murders.
With the help of the bumbling PC Danny Butterman (Nick Frost), Angel dives headfirst into a peculiar mystery.
Like Nicholas Angel, Aquarians are often described as uncompromising. Given that they're favorite pastime is having fun with friends, this movie strikes the perfect balance for this air sign.
Trap
Philadelphia firefighter Cooper Abbott (Josh Hartnett) is ever the doting father, taking his daughter Riley (Ariel Donoghue) to a major concert to celebrate her good grades. However, one they're in the thick of the show, it's revealed that the police are in attendance hunting a serial killer known as the Butcher.
Tipped off by the news, Cooper, the Butcher himself, must quickly scheme how to evade capture.
Aquarians are all about risk, and the nonstop twists and turns of this flick will appeal to their inner thrill seeker.
