Mystery lovers are always up for a good challenge, but sometimes earthly offerings just aren't enough. Intrigue aficionados love raising stakes, and what better way to do that than with a dash of the paranormal?

Whether the case is built on a warning from beyond or the investigator is working with a few extra skills, these flicks will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Here are eight of the best paranormal mystery and thriller movies you can stream tonight!

The Sixth Sense

Kicking this list off with the obvious choice, The Sixth Sense is the most iconic paranormal thriller in cinematic history.

After failing a volatile patient, psychologist Malcolm Crowe (Bruce Willis) begins treating a young boy, Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment), whose difficulties remind him of his former case.

Cole insists he can see dead people, and as Malcolm tries to help the boy with these strange abilities, Cole tries to help Malcom with his increasing difficulties at home.

Perhaps best known for Suspiria (1977), director Dario Argento brought some gory frights to this paranormal mystery.

When a young American girl, Jennifer Corvino (Jennifer Connely), is sent to a Swiss boarding school, she arrives in the midst of a series of murders targeting teen girls.

Jennifer's remarkable telepathic connection to insects helps her solve this spate of violence.

Don't Look Now

Overcome with grief after the death of their young daughter, John (Donald Sutherland) and Laura Baxter (Julie Christie) relocate to Venice. Here, they meet two sisters, one of which is a blind psychic who claims she can see their deceased daughter.

Though John is skeptical to believe any of this, the psychic issues a warning from their daughter that John is in danger.

The Gift

Annie Wilson (Cate Blanchett) is a clairvoyant in a small southern town.

When a young woman goes missing, Annie has a vision of her death. While she tries to help solve this complicated case, not all of her visions are clear—and some get her into trouble.

Angel Heart

This neo-noir film is full of dark and disturbing paranormal twists.

Private investigator Harry Angel (Mickey Rourke) is hired by a dangerous man named Louis Cyphre (Robert De Niro) to track down singer Johnny Favorite.

But the deeper Angel probes into the case, the more people die around him.

Last Night in Soho

Eloise Turner (Thomasin McKenzie) is an aspiring fashion designer who with a deep love for the 1960s.

After starting school in London, she discovers that she has the ability to transport herself back in time to the 60s in her dreams. In these trips, she encounters a singer, Sandie (Anya Taylor-Joy), who inspires her to change her life.

But there is a looming darkness to the magnificent glamour of the past…

Faced with a series of elaborate murders, FBI agent Joe Merriwether (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) reaches out to his psychic friend, Dr. John Clancy (Sir Anthony Hopkins), for help catching a serial killer.

While Merriwether's partner, Katherine Cowles (Abbie Cornish), is skeptical of Clancy's abilities, it seems that he's necessary for the case.

After all, it appears that the serial killer (Colin Farrell) is a psychic, too…

Paranormal mysteries don't have to be dark and eerie, as proven by this excessively fun flick from 1988, a personal favorite of mine.

Two quirky psychics, Nick Deezy (Jeff Goldblum) and Sylvia Pickel (Cyndi Lauper), are hired by Harry Buscafusco (Peter Falk) to find his son in Ecuador.

In truth, they're sent on a dangerous journey to locate a lost city and its treasure.
