A new hit mystery is making its way to your television screens. The Thursday Murder Club, an adaptation of Richard Osman's bestselling novel of the same name, is coming soon to Netflix.

The story follows a group of seniors who live in the same retirement home. But just because their working days are done, it doesn't mean that these folks are down for the count.

These amateur silver sleuths meet each week to talk about unsolved crimes for fun. But one day, they find themselves in the middle of a very real murder investigation that puts them in actual danger.

Chris Columbus, the filmmaker of Harry Potter fame, is the writer and director of this project. But who is starring in this over-the-hill whodunnit?

The savvy seniors making up the core group of the film include Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Sir Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie. Mirren is portraying an ex-spy named Elizabeth, while Brosnan steps into the role of former union activist Ron, Kingsley takes on former psychiatrist Ibrahim, and Imrie steps into the shoes of former nurse Joyce.

Other actors involved in the film include David Tennant, Daniel Mays, Naomi Ackie, Tom Ellis, and more.

No premiere date for the project has been announced, but the film is currently in production in the UK.
